"The more I play Oblivion, the less interested I become in Skyrim. It might be something about the UI. Oblivion always had this strange sort of charm to it, something almost magical."

"I’ve been playing Oblivion on and off for the last three or so years now. Every once in a while, I take a look at my Game of the Year edition copy, and say, ‘Why not?’ The funny thing is, that, (with a little help with the UESP wiki), the game seems just a little better and more rewarding with each playthrough, like a fresh experience. It’s one of my all time favorite games because of this."

"I’ve seen on forums people naming their horses with extravagant names. I called mine Dave. I regret nothing."

"Sometimes, when I’m trying to dodge attacks from large groups, I run around making Wooping noises, like they did in The Three Stooges."

"Shivering Isles was and will always be my favorite expansion from any game and Sheogorath will always be my favorite Daedric Prince."

"You know what would be awesome? You’re playing an Elder Scrolls Game that takes some time after Skyrim, and you find out that Janus Hassildor from Oblivion is STILL the count of Skingrad. Like, he knew the champion PERSONALLY, and can probably point out to you that Sheogorath IS the Champion. It would be so awesome!”

"When I bought the house in Anvil, I screamed when the ghosts attacked me. I feel kinda stupid."

"I have been playing Oblivion since I was seven. That’s eight years. In all eight years of me playing, I have not once done the Fighters Guild quest line. I haven’t ever sought them out. I feel so guilty when I think about it; they are truly good people. No crime, friendship, loyalty. It’s something that I’ve always wanted but never had. The Dark Brotherhood is my family, and I don’t ever regret joining them. But if they knew what I was doing, they’d want to end me and I feel like I’d betray them. It’s funny because this guilt doesn’t carry on to Skyrim with the Companions."

"I am so tempted to start a new save file just for a female Arena Champion. Why? Because how was I to know that ‘Iron Maiden’ was an Arena Champion title option for females? Who wouldn’t want to be named after one of the greatest heavy metal bands of all time?"

"My first Elder Scrolls game was Oblivion and it’s what started my obsession with the Elder Scrolls. I play Skyrim more than anything now but I will go back to Oblivion because it’s so calming for me. I made my character invisible so I can just wander around like I’m the wind and just really enjoy the world and all the NPCs in it. Oblivion has gotten me through some tough points in my life and will always have a place in my heart."
